BEAR´S SANCTUARY
The spectacled bear is the only species of bear in Latin America. Its population is at risk in Ecuador and it is not known how many individuals exist. As a part of the National Andean Bear Working Group since 2009, FGPL has monitored individuals who visit the forests and mountains of Hacienda Zuleta, using camera traps.

They can be differentiated after its own spot on its face, thus we have managed to identify 61 individuals, the last of them was given the name Cusima.
